Information We Collect
We collect only the information necessary to deliver a reliable, secure, and effective patrol management experience. Here is a detailed breakdown of the categories of data we collect:
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, phone number, company name, and billing information necessary to provide our services and manage your subscription.
Location Data
Our app collects real-time GPS location data from guards' devices during active patrol shifts. Location tracking is only active during scheduled shift hours and is clearly indicated in the app interface. Location data is never collected outside of active shifts.
Patrol Data
We collect tour start/end times, QR checkpoint scan data, incident reports (including photos and descriptions), and route information generated through normal use of the application.
Device Information
We may collect device type, operating system version, app version, and unique device identifiers to ensure optimal app performance, troubleshoot issues, and maintain security.
Important Note on Location Tracking
Guard location tracking is strictly limited to active shift hours only. A clear, visible indicator is displayed on the guard's device whenever location tracking is active. The moment a shift ends, location tracking stops immediately. We believe this distinction is critical to maintaining the trust and privacy of every security professional who uses vPatrol.

Active Subscription: We retain all patrol data for the full duration of your active subscription, ensuring you have access to historical reports and compliance documentation whenever you need it.
Post-Cancellation: Upon account cancellation, data is retained for an additional 90 days. During this period, you may request a full data export in standard formats.
Permanent Deletion: After the 90-day retention period, all data is permanently and irrecoverably deleted from our systems, including all backups.
Early Deletion: You may request earlier deletion of your data at any time by contacting our support team. We will process deletion requests within 30 business days.

Guard Privacy Rights
We recognize that security guards are at the heart of our platform, and their privacy rights are paramount. Every guard using vPatrol is entitled to the following protections:
Tracking Visibility: Clear, real-time visibility of when location tracking is active. A prominent indicator on the app interface ensures guards always know their tracking status — no hidden or background tracking.
Off-Shift Privacy: Absolutely no tracking outside of scheduled shift hours. When your shift ends, tracking ends — period. Your personal time and movements remain entirely private.
Data Access: Full access to your own patrol data upon request. Guards can request copies of their shift records, patrol routes, and activity logs at any time.
Data Correction: The right to request correction of any inaccurate personal data. If any information about you is incorrect, we will promptly update it upon verification.
